Personal Training Director
I was born in Kiev, Ukraine and came to the U.S. when I was just 2 years old. Growing up in New York, I excelled in track and field, wrestling, and football. It was my love of the outdoors, that brought me to Colorado to pursue a B.A. of Kinesiology, at CU Boulder as well as my passion for triathlon, running, cycling, hiking and snowboarding. In the 11 years that I have been involved in the fitness industry, I have been a Master Trainer and manager for a large, international fitness company, giving me the opportunity to help educate clients as well as mentor and train other personal trainers. My clients have included everyone from weekend warriors, CEO’s, grandmothers, United States congressmen, college students, professional snowboarders and anyone who has the desire to reach for their next fitness goal. I believe that establishing a strong and friendly rapport with clients based on mutual trust essential. I take an all encompassing approach to training which is not based on fads or flavor of the month exercise trends, but rather on tailor-made programs to suit the specific person. I inject fun and variety into your exercise program but with a view to achieving tangible and long lasting results. As a Holistic Lifestyle Coach I also focus on helping clients increase vitality, decrease stress and sculpt the body of their dreams by addressing the underlying causes of disease and stress, by considering the body as a “system of systems” and providing guidance on how it can heal itself given the proper environment.

I like to eat, therefore I work out! Growing up in a household that enjoyed food led me to overeat as a child. But thanks to a nutrition class and Jazzercise, I learned how to eat and discovered that I liked to exercise, and lost 30 pounds! I found I wanted to share my passion for fitness with others, so in 2000, I became a Certified Personal Trainer and have been loving it ever since! Considering that nutrition is often the most difficult (and critical) factor in reaching one’s fitness goals, I decided to further my education and understanding by getting both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nutrition from San Diego State University. The knowledge I gained allows me to properly teach you not only how to eat for your goal, but how to enjoy it as well!
My goal in any fitness program is for you to not only see awesome results, but to have fun in doing so! I love adding a variety of exercises to my workout programs in order to help shock your system and avoid plateaus. I have multiple Personal Training certifications, as well as a Master’s degree in Exercise (also from San Diego State), so no matter your goal, I have the knowledge to help you achieve it. So let’s get to it!

Ever since I was young I loved to eat, and growing up outside of Chicago there were more than a few unhealthy options. Couple that with an unhealthy lifestyle and by the time I was 12 years old I weighed over 200lbs.
I tried many different “fad” diets but I always gained the weight back. It wasn’t until I came to the realization that in order to truly change my body, I was going to need to change my lifestyle. I started regularly exercising and moderating my “cheat” meals and within a year I lost over 90 pounds!
In college, I pursued a degree in kinesiology and nutrition and took some graduate level coursework in human nutritional science. I have never lost my love for food, but my passion for health, exercise and nutrition as well as my desire to help others feel and look better continues to grow each day.
“The key is balance and moderation then focus on the physical activities you enjoy most and consistency will follow.”
My training philosophy relies heavily on non-linear periodization (never letting your body get comfortable with a routine). I believe it is important to challenge yourself often with new movements, methodologies and techniques so that your body is forced to always adapt. I have found this is the best way to create positive change as well as avoid plateaus and boring
